Abstract

The research aims to study a model of Islamic movements in the modern era and shed light on their role in harnessing the societies in which they arose to serve what they believe to be the true religion, which is an event of great importance, given the deep, continuous and escalating impact on the life of the public to this day. The study concluded that the movement of Sheikh Othman Dan Foday, the subject of the research, was not devoid of worldly motives, despite all the religious slogans that it called for, and for which the blood of its supporters and opponents was spilled together, and because of it removed thrones and entities that knew and embraced Islam before it.
