Abstract

The study aims to know domestic violence and its relationship to psychological compatibility among adolescents. It also seeks to know the degree of difference in the forms of family violence according to demographic variables (gender, father’s education level, and mother’s education level). The tools were applied to a sample of 74 male and female students of the stage. Secondary school in Tripoli, the scale of family violence and the psychological compatibility scale for adolescents were used, and the results resulted in that there is an inverse negative relationship between domestic violence and psychological compatibility among adolescents, that is, the more family violence, the less psychological compatibility and vice versa, as well as there are statistically significant differences in the emergence of Forms of family violence according to the level of education of the father and mother, in favor of the education of the father, there are also statistically significant differences between the average degrees of domestic violence according to the gender variable in favor of males, and there are also statistically significant differences between the average scores of psychological compatibility according to the gender variable in favor of females
