Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper deals with the structural approach in criticizing the Libyan novel. The assumption here is that the Libyan critical achievement is not an exclusion from the expanded Arab reception of structuralism. So, to what extent the Libyan contribution to structural approach in Arabic exists. The research begins by limiting the critical studies in approaching the Libyan fictional texts. The paper reached some results among them is that in the first section, the limited structuralism, two problems were identified; The problem of theory and practice, the methodology and the text studied, in the relationship between theory and practice, the duality of success in theory and reluctance in practice was clarified. On the other hand, confusion in receiving theory and the success in practice were also clarified. The problem of the weakness of the texts in front of the curriculum was monitored, that is, the curriculum is greater than the studied texts. The second section which deals with the shift from structuralism to interactive narratives, an organized critical project was found with Abdul Hakim Al-Maliki. However, there is a kind of confusion and overlapping in other academic approaches.
