Main Article Content
Abstract
The study included estimating the concentration of some heavy elements (Pd, Cu, Cd) in the muscles of four species of fish collected from the Libyan cost off the cost of Tripoli and misrata and divided the fish caught into three different lengths and weights ( large, medium, small) and this study was conducted in the summer of 2019, and the result of the study showed that the accumulation of elements was in the muscles of mugilidae fish was more than other species the length and weight was a relationship in increasing the concentration of heavy elements in the muscles of these fishes. Height and all four types studied. The results indicate that: the concentration of lead in the muscles of fish (mullus, pagellus, Scorpaena)was within limits allowed according to the world heat organization and according to FAO and the mugilidae muscles had concentration of lead higher than the limits allowed by WHO and according to FAO. It was also noted that the concentration of cadmium in all samples was within the limits allowed by WHO according to FAO. The concentration of copper in the muscles of fish (Scorpaena, mugilidea) was higher than the limits allowed by (WHO, FAO) and ( mullus, pagellus) was within the permissible limits according (WHO, FAO).
