Abstract


This research dealt with the subject of alternative educational evaluation, its most important strategies and its positive role in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of university students, and it is one of the important topics in an era in which the educational evaluation witnessed major developments and transformations and its methods and tools, so the current research problem can be identified by the following question (What are the strategies of educational evaluation The alternative is to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of university students) and this research is important in that it sheds light on the alternative educational evaluation as a new pattern for finding solutions to the problems of traditional evaluation, which expresses its limitations in measuring student achievement and evaluating their performance. The researcher relied on the descriptive and analytical approach that is based on collecting and analyzing information to achieve the objectives of the research. The results of the research showed the multiplicity of opinions about the concept of alternative educational evaluation and its strategies. In education and evaluation, the most important of which is the alternative evaluation and moving away from the traditional methods that depend on traditional tests.
