The level of job satisfaction among faculty members in higher and technical education A comparative study between Elmergib University - Higher Institute of Engineering Technologies Tripoli

Abstract

The study aims to know the level of job satisfaction among faculty members at Elmerqib University and the Higher Institute of Engineering Technologies, Tripoli, a comparative study. The study sample was selected by a simple random method, consisting of (120) members of both sexes (males, females), and a questionnaire tool was applied to collect information prepared by the researcher. It consists of 30 statements distributed over five axes that measure the level of job satisfaction. The study reached the following results:

1- The level of job satisfaction among faculty members at Elmerqib University and the Higher Institute of Engineering Technologies, Tripoli, indicates (sometimes), and according to the answers of the entire study sample, the arithmetic mean reached 2.05, and a percentage weight of 68%, meaning that the level of job satisfaction is moderate.

2- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample’s responses regarding the level of job satisfaction among faculty members at Elmerqib University and the Higher Institute of Engineering Technologies, Tripoli.

3- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of faculty members’ responses regarding the level of job satisfaction among faculty members at Elmerqib University and the Higher Institute of Engineering Technologies, Tripoli, according to the gender variable (males, females).

4- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of faculty members’ responses regarding the level of job satisfaction among faculty members at Elmerqib University and the Higher Institute of Engineering Technologies, Tripoli, according to the academic qualification variable.
