Abstract

This research studies the stages that the United Nations went through since it was an idea, as most of those important conferences that contributed to the establishment of the United Nations were highlighted.
In addition, we will define the role of the major countries that tried from the beginning to give themselves something that would enable them to play an important role in the future according to their own interests, and this is what was achieved for them through the acquisition of permanent membership in the Security Council and the possession of the right of veto, thus transforming the United Nations from an organization protecting the international peace to an organization that protects the interests of the great powers at the expense of other peoples who are members of the organization.
